Privacy Policy

Daily Text ("the app") is a free, ad-supported daily devotional and Bible daily-text reader for iOS, published by Daily Text ("we", "us"). It is made for a general audience and is not directed to children. This policy explains, in plain terms, how data is handled.

What we collect

• The app has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not run a server that stores your personal data.
• Your favorites, settings, and reminders stay on your device and are never sent to us. Reminders are local notifications — there is no push server.
• The only data we might receive directly is your email, if you choose to contact us.

Ads & analytics (Google)

The app shows ads and uses basic analytics through Google services: Google AdMob (ads), Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). To do this, these Google services may collect your device's advertising identifier, approximate location (from your IP address), app-usage events and diagnostic data — to show and measure ads and to keep the app working well. Your choices & consent

• In the EEA and UK, the first time you open the app you are asked to consent to personalized ads and analytics. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized.
• On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt controls access to your advertising identifier. You can change it anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• You can reopen the consent options from the app's settings, and reset or limit your Advertising Identifier in iOS Settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of data for advertising. Because almost all of this data is held by Google, you can use Google's controls (such as your Google Account and My Ad Center) together with the in-app and iOS settings above. For anything we hold (a support email), contact us and we will help. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Data retention & security

We do not store your personal data on our own servers. Data collected by the Google services above is retained and protected under Google's policies. We handle any support emails you send with reasonable care.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; we will update the date above. Your continued use of the app means you accept the current version.
